Why does weather often dictates our moods? I mean, when the rain is pouring down or the sound of a storm is pounding we often think of doing nothing but staying indoors, our motivation is at a stand still and the inspiration or desire to move about is none existence. On the other hand, when the sun is shining we are happy, ready to get outdoors, gather with friends and have a great time, often showered with positive energy. Why is that? Why do we let something we have no control over dictate our moods, our level of engagement or motivation? Is that simply learned behavior? Maybe it’s our knowledge or our experiences…
It is often said that experience is the best teacher, but it does not have to be YOUR OWN experience. We can all learn from other people’s experiences, mistakes and success. That is why it is important to share what you know, because you can also learn from what others know. Either way, why not share your wisdom, your experience and knowledge that could be of help to others.
In the end, rain or shine we make the choice, we decide how we feel and what we do. You do not have to go with what you’ve heard or what others have done, you “decide”, you “choose.”
Whatever the case, be true to you. Your choice, your decisions can make a difference. Being different means not being afraid to challenge the norm or going with the flow. Being willing to take a chance and asking why. Asking why and making your own track, not just following the well-trodden and beaten path. Charting your own course and destiny.
Dance in the rain, sing in the rain, walk outside as the beauty of snow is falling. Rest during the beauty of the sunshine, watch the sun rise and watch it fall…. Appreciate and define your own script of the sunshine and the rain.
I’d love to hear from you if you would like to continue this conversation. Shoot me an email and I’ll be happy to chat back.
